After earning an undergraduate degree in engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, James Sidd, DDS, decided to pursue a career in dentistry. In 1998, he graduated from the University of North Carolina’s School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill. As a general dentist, James Sidd, DDS, diagnoses and treats dental issues, educates patients on preventive dental care, and coordinates treatment with specialty practitioners. Currently employed at the Tohatchi Health Care Center in Tohatchi, New Mexico, a facility located on the Navajo Indian Reservation, Dr. Sidd began his tenure there in 2009. He was hired as a staff dentist, quickly progressed to the role of Acting Chief of Dental Services, and then was promoted to his current position as Chief of Dental Services. James Sidd, DDS, has supervisory responsibility for a clinic staff of dental assistants, a dental hygienist, an office manager, and another staff dentist. Besides practicing at the health center, he also maintains privileges at the nearby Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico. James Sidd, DDS, is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and an Associate Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine with Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He instructs a dental resident serving a rotation at his New Mexico clinic. When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Sidd enjoys hiking the trails of New Mexico and scuba diving. He is also an active supporter of National Public Radio.
