Summary & Objectives

My name is James Morgan. I am a freelance writer and photographer, and an information specialist.  In addition to my freelance work, I am currently employed at the Urban College of Boston where I work as the College's Director of Library and Information Services and Adjunct Professor of English.

My freelance writing and photography have regularly appeared in a variety of publications including Jamaica Plain Patch, a local news website; El Mundo Newspaper, Boston's leading Latino newspaper; and I will soon publish a regularly appearing food column in a new online magazine.

The prolific number of articles that I have written cover a wide array of subjects including business, government, community news, the visual arts, theater and food reviews. (Please take a look at the archive of my work here.)

Previously, I was employed for over a decade in a series of progressively more responsible positions by the Boston Public Library (BPL). Prior to my employment at the BPL, I worked as an information analyst for Northern Light Research Portals and Thomson Reuters, where I indexed and wrote abstracts for online content.
