As the Founder and CEO of TriState Capital Bank, James F. Getz heads the largest banking start-up on record in Pennsylvania. He oversees an institution that supplies loans, business services, debit cards, investment advice, and other services to middle-market enterprises, and to their staff members and allied professionals. Since starting the company five years ago, James F. Getz has grown the bank from a venture with $100 million in assets to one with an estimated $1.9 billion in assets. With his leadership, it has expanded outside the state, operating in New Jersey, New York, and Ohio.Recently, James F. Getz and his team have secured a new investment of $50 million. The funds come from Lovell Minnick Partners, LLC, a private equity concern that specializes in the financial industry. Mr. Getz and his associates plan to use the investment to achieve business plan targets and foster strategic growth.With more than 30 years of industry experience, James F. Getz began his career with Girard Bank, leaving there to join First Pennsylvania Bank in 1982. In the years that followed, he founded Federated Bank and Trust in 1985. Later, he performed as President and Corporate Director with Federated Securities Corp.Away from his professional responsibilities, Mr. Getz gives to Pittsburgh-area nonprofits, including Oakland Catholic, the Little Sisters of the Poor, and the Children's Hospital Foundation. He also supports the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. James F. Getz sits on the board of King’s College, his undergraduate alma mater in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In his free time, he relaxes by reading and playing tennis and golf.
