James Cortopassi brings nearly 20 years of eDiscovery experience to his practice as a leader in litigation support and eDiscovery coordination. Mr. Cortopassi has managed thousands of cases involving forensic collections, data processing & hosted solutions, managed document review, ESI productions, trial technology services, and workflow-innovation. Mr. Cortopassi is a member of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS).
Legal case manager James Cortopassi is a Greater New York City & New Jersey based leader in litigation support & eDiscovery coordination. Mr. Cortopassi manages large e-discovery projects that include data processing, document review, trial presentations, and forensic acquisitions. Serving in this role since 1997, Mr. Cortopassi also coordinates teams of eDiscovery lawyers and provides technical support and training. With experience in multiple information management platforms, Mr. Cortopassi also develops workflow solutions.
Previously, James Cortopassi served as a Law Clerk at Schram Behan & Behan, an Okemos, Michigan-based firm. Mr. Cortopassi completed client intake and developed litigation strategies along with preparing wills, trusts, warranties, and quitclaim deeds. Mr. Cortopassi’s other responsibilities included substantial legal research on estate issues. Before joining Schram Behan & Behan, James Cortopassi worked with the Washtenaw County Office of the Public Defender in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as a student lawyer. Mr. Cortopassi managed multiple aspects of felony cases including client intake, sentencing, memos, pretrial, and motions.
James Cortopassi resides in New Jersey with his wife, who he met while attending law school in Michigan, and their two sons. Mr. Cortopassi’s personal interests include charities such as the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Cure4Lupus.org, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the Anti-bullying foundations. When he is not working or volunteering, Mr. Cortopassi enjoys reading, traveling, and exercising.
