Summary

Throughout his life, James Clooney has devoted a significant amount of time to honing his tennis skills. Captain of the men’s tennis team while attending St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York, James Clooney currently holds the 13th ranking in New England in the Men 50 Singles division. A supporter of his alma mater, James Clooney presently helps raise funds for the St. John’s varsity tennis program. Clooney also makes financial contributions to the Edwin Gould Foundation, an organization devoted to increasing the number of college graduates from underserved communities. After completing his education at St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, James Clooney spent time working as an Auditor at two major bookkeeping firms, Arthur Young International and Touche Ross. After two years however, Clooney changed career paths, entering the investment banking world. Starting out in the brokerage division of Prudential Securities in 1983, James Clooney spent more than 10 years contributing to a number of well-known transactional houses, including Lehman Brothers and Salomon Smith Barney, managing accounts as large as $10 million. In 1989, James Clooney became President of Biltmore Mortgage, a retail property lender based in Melville, New York. As President, James Clooney oversaw Biltmore’s business for five years, before departing in 1995 to join Refinance.com as Managing Director. After three years at Refinance.com, James Clooney decided to devote his attention to serving as President of Northeast-based CVO/JEC Consulting Corp., a quick-growing online mortgage lender from 2002 to 2008. At present, James Clooney acts a principal of Total Solution Advisors, a mortgage and consumer finance marketing firm, which he founded in late 2008. James Clooney’s Total Solution Advisors is headquartered in Syosset, New York.
