I’m an energetic and highly-motivated graduate with excellent organisational and analytical skills looking to move into international business with a particular interest in sport. I work in the History Department and have used my archaeological knowledge to help run an Archaeological project for Year 8 students. I have also worked in the careers department as well as helping out with PE Classes and running my own soccer team.

In this role I was a residential boarding assistant responsible for managing an Activities Week for over 1, 000 students on a limited budget. This task included sourcing activities and coordinating over 100 staff.  I also recorded and analysed student's academic performance data creating materials to track progress and identify weak areas. Additionally, I provided pastoral support for boarders at the school and ran weekly activities in the boarding house.

University of York Futsal Club President

  • In charge of the day to day running of the club.
  • Was responsible for club finances sourcing over £4000 worth of sponsorship and fundraising
  • Membership numbers tripled through a partnership with Sportivate
  • Created the University of York Women's Futsal team
  • Added a youth academy, YuFutsal to get young children in York into Futsal: 
  • Entered the team into the National Futsal League where the club won promotion to Division 1, the highest level of futsal in England, also reached the Semi finals of the FA cup

As a result of this work, the club received the YorkSport Club of the Year award and I received the YorkSport Award for Services to Sport.

Passion for Sports

I have always maintained an enthusiasm for a range of sports. I have played futsal at the highest level in England as well as playing football for the University holding committee positions for both clubs. I am a keen swimmer and swam at the Eastern Regional Championships in the UK as well as attending an International Training Camp in Mallorca and competition in Dubai. I have continued to follow my interest in swimming through swimming teaching and have taught in the UK, USA and Australia.

I also enjoy  watching a number of other sports such as Cricket, Rugby Union and Basketball.
