About James Badalamenti

James Badalamenti finished high school at Seaholm High School in Birmingham, Michigan, before matriculating in 2012 to the University of Michigan (U-M) in Ann Arbor. With a graduation date planned for 2016, James Badalamenti has his sights set on a bachelor of arts in mathematics and plans to pursue an internship where he can apply his knowledge of finance, economics, and accounting.

A self-starter, James Badalamenti (better known to his friends as “Jake”) founded an entrepreneurial business called Maple Lawn Care in 2010 in metropolitan Detroit. As the owner of the business, which provides lawn maintenance for residential customers, he manages all operations including hiring, training, and supervision of grounds-keeping staff. Additionally, since May 2014, he serves as a team member of Mt. Everest Maintenance in Birmingham, Michigan. He has gained sales and data entry experience through previous jobs while continuing to pursue his academics.

A former high school athlete, James Badalamenti enjoys CrossFit training and hopes to compete in the Reebok CrossFit Games. In addition to his CrossFit training schedule, he plays intramural football and basketball and participates in the U-M Ski Club. He also travels whenever possible and has taken trips abroad to Turkey and London. Closer to home, he enjoys hiking and rock climbing in Yosemite National Park.
