I would describe myself as a well presented, hard working person who thrives when given the chance of learning and developing new skills. I always like to get the task that I have been given done in a professional and efficient manner and I have proved these skills through my academic studies, past jobs and work placements. I am currently a member of the Politics Society, the Conservative Society and I am a member of the University of Southampton Handball team. During the Easter of 2016 I will be undertaking a one month work placement at Rathbone Investment Management, shadowing a Investment manager. I also hope do a work placement for a highly respected property company such as Grosvenor Properties in the summer of 2016 as I wish to gain reputable experience in the property management and development industry. My Long term career ambitions is to become an asset manager for residential and corporate real estate.

Projects, Current & Past

  1. A 7000 word written report along 15 minute spoken presentation, based on whether immigration is a negative thing for the UK as it is reported in the media, it was clear from the data I analysed from official reports, news articles and a range of interviews including 2 MP's, local employers and people in the financial sector that immigration it is in fact extremely beneficial to the UK.
  2. I am currently working on a project which will be of a similar length as the prior, I am currently working and developing a hypothesis to find out wether the movement between social classes is hampered by circumstances. 
  3. I plan on writing my dissertation about HS2 and wether it will have a effect house prices focusing on a potential decline in London and a potential rise in Birmingham. Amongst other factors such as investment in the midlands, especially with the  interesting rise of JLR and there factory expansions and extensions in Wolverhampton.

My role in the Operations ICQA team had two main functions first of all was inventory control (IC), which focused on cycle-counting and related analysis which allows the company to research, understand and correct any variances in the warehoues' inventory, secondly was quality assurance (QA), which audits how well amazon is sticking to agreed processes, targets and highlights any discrepancies in the stock levels.

During my Duke of Edinburgh Awards I completed three modules each time; volunteering, sports and learning a new skill. Amongst this I also completed two land expeditions and four water expeditions via canoe.

The Scout Association

This involved a 10 day expedition on the Istrian Coast in Croatia. Where I completed a variety of projects such as volunteering in their local communities and also leading Croatian scout meetings. I gained many valuable skills during this expedition such as budgeting and new language skills to gain a basic knowledge of the Croatian language too add to my GCSE level French.
