Responsible for mining operations and gold production of a gold mine located in Brazil. Manage a group of seven senior managers in charge of leading 850 employees and 1,200 contractors.

Conducted changing process of organizational culture after acquisition process.

Responsible for all aspects of mining operations of a bauxite strip mine. Manage a team of four senior managers in charge of mining operations, maintenance of mining equipments, long and short term mining planning and laboratories.

I pioneered the experience of having 65% operating staff made up of apprentices, most of them in their first jobs.

I conducted processes to high level of satisfaction of the employees under my management.

I implemented the ferroalloys sales infraestructure for all North America.

I doubled the territory sales in little over one year's activity.

I negotiated and signed new long-term sales contracts with major American and Canadian clients.

I negotiated and developed amiable relations with the department of state, city halls, society representatives and several government agencies, changing the company's image from "closed and polluting" to admired and respected.

I conducted the process that raised the underground mine production capacity by 70% in only six months at a cost 40% lower than standards with creativity.

I coordinated the adjustment of the alloys production indexes to competitive levels and, in parallel, reached the record of 455 days without casualties in all three production units simultaneously ( Iron open pit mine; Manganese underground mine and the ferroalloy mill )

Manganese General Manager

I coordinated all activities leading to an output of 1.7 million tons of manganese ore per year.

I conducted the negotiation of a temporary work suspension and the signature of the concerning agreement with the employees and union.

I coordinated the reduction of casualties LTI (loss of time injuries) from four to zero casualties peryear.

I reduced service contract expenditures by 19%.

I worked actively to strengthen the company-employee relations after a shaking personnel reduction process.

I managed all the mining, processing, mine planning, quality control and mine geology activities.

I coordinate the implementation of an ISO 9002-based quality system at Mina do Azul, which was DNV-certified in the first application.

Mine Geologist

I planned, contracted, and inspected a detailed geological survey to define the manganese reserves in Carajás region, PA, Brazil.

I created and conducted the mineral deposit database and statistical data treatment.

I produced the first geostatistical model of the mineral deposit of Azul, Carajás, PA, Brazil.
