Technical Architect Manager
Working in the Neopost Shipping department as a Design Team manager, primarily in a technical and architectural role working with other Neopost Shipping teams in the business unit including the Systems Architect Manager (SAM) and the Business Systems Analysts (BSA) to ensure that proposed solutions can be delivered. Responsible for ensuring that solutions proposed from the customer are correctly designed, documented and developed when involved in a project.
Working closely with Neopost group entities (e.g. Neopost Shipping France) to ensure solutions are developed correctly not just according to customer business requirements but well-designed both technically and architecturally and offshore development teams to ensure the continued vision and smooth path to software output.
Authority role underwriting, overseeing and technically leading projects and programmes in the business unit. Background is familiar with the software development process and the software development life cycle (SDLC) and skills set is wider than other technical staff, the TAM is concerned with the overall architectural solution and how the proposed design will be coded and delivered.
Responsible for the technical lead and with a matrix management relationship; work closely with fellow technical staff on individual projects.
Additionally responsible for presentation of technical solutions to clients. The material may well require research and interpretation of design solution from Neopost Group or other products in the market. Aside from presentations, product demonstration or presale technical meetings, required to provide technical documentation to support the Neopost project delivery process.
Furthermore, system and architectural skills will be required in other areas of the Neopost Ltd business. This includes (but not constrained to) Software Systems Group software projects (SSG), Neopost Ltd Software projects (internal) including acquisitions and complex software solutions plus Neopost group led software projects.
Strong knowledge in the computing field, has a clear understanding of best practices and standards.
Finally, closely involved in strategy and policy development including standard operating procedures, project processes and best practice. The skills they have will be used to improve department efficiency and internal practices.
