Sharper Meetings, Sandwich, MA & Portland, ME

Successfully plan and manage meetings, seminars and conferences throughout the US that range between 10 and 15,000 attendees. Partner with incentive travel companies to manage incentive trips for groups as large as 2,800 guests. Create personal concierge services for small VIP meetings to arrange dinner reservations, change travel plans, confirm upgrades, monitor travel delays.

  • Analyzed and recommended cost cutting measures that reduced event costs by 15%.
  • Organized group travel to foreign destinations by utilizing charter services and commercial air.
  • Directed operational elements for 8 live events happening at same time. Stayed within $100,000 budget guideline for all technical support, production elements, venues, registration sites, meeting amenities, meeting space, food & beverage, and staffing.

Purveyor of gourmet and specialty foods. On a part-time basis, orchestrated cooking and local “foodie” events. Developed and managed online marketing campaigns increasing brand awareness with website, social media posts and monthly enewsletters.



PartyLite, Plymouth, MA

Managed the logistical planning of local and national events. Increased event marketing to improve attendance and create attendee excitement. Designed meal and concession menus. Issued request-for- proposals and negotiated pricing for decorators, hotels, convention centers, temp staffing.

  • Mobilized team of employees into a cohesive group through communication, daily work schedule and recognition of their hard work.
  • Implemented city-wide 4 day shuttle service between convention center, hotels, and airports.
  • Designed and managed logistical plan to feed 10-13,000 attendees boxed lunches while seated in a football stadium, and a formal banquet dinner in less than 1-hour. Accomplished this feat multiple years in multiple cities.

Managed collateral materials for a 40,000 person sales force in US and Canada. While maintaining a $1 million budget initiated, designed and proofread the revision of brochures, manuals, forms and videos.

  • Researched and presented business tools that assisted sales team in tracking sales and sponsoring.
  • Served as liaison between marketing and other departments to assess and communicate the changes in the revised materials.
  • Issued request-for-proposals for revision and production costs and formed partnerships with 15+ vendors.

Pictures are event elements, venue layout and stage design that I helped create . There are two videos (part of a series) that I collaborated with writers and producers on to support the goal of increasing event attendance and adding substance to a communication plan I wrote and implemented. My client was a power company, so we created titles that incorporated the word Power; for example, Power of Fun, Power of Training etc. All were uploaded to YouTube, FB and Twitter. 


Denmark Draggers Snowmobile Club

This past season, I implemented a cost effective plan to keep members involved by writing a monthly e-newsletter (using Constant Contact) informing them of meetings, upcoming events, trail conditions, member updates. Announcements included links for local weather, online snowmobile registration, Maine Snowmobile Association, and trail reports. Monthly readership rate averages 63%. Created a Twitter account, and with FB, write social media posts and upload trail pictures during the winter months.
