Skills

Skills

Professional Writing

As an English major and former reporter for The Rotunda, Longwood's campus newspaper, I've developed an array of writing skills that proves useful in composing print media, journalistic articles, press releases, and advertisements.

Crisis Management

Through my extended employment as a City of Norfolk lifeguard, I've developed the foresight and observation skills necessary to recognize the potential for crisis in the workplace. I'm able assess details of the environment and think quickly in order to prevent problems before they occur, or respond effectively in the event of an emergency.

Broadcasting

I've progressively honed my skills as on on-air personality through my work in the radio broadcasting. In recent years, I've remained active in WMLU and interned with WVHL--on-campus and local radio stations respectively--in order to learn the logistics of conducting on-air interviews and hosting media programs.
