I have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications and Public Relations and a minor in Economics. I have the determination and skills to handle any task. As a Lancer Line Caller I had the following responsibilities

  • Calling current and potential donors of Longwood and informing them of the achievements and goals of the university with particular interest to the Longwood Fund.
  • These prospects include Longwood alumni, parents and friends.
  • Each call serves three purposes: 1- updating basic contact information, 2-promoting current university endeavors, and 3-asking for the financial support of the university.
  • Write quality thank-you notes Cultivate positive relationships with constituents with each phone call.
  • Perform goals with integrity, professionalism, and Longwood spirit!

Line Chef

Thornton River Grille

My position at Thornton River Grille was one of great responsibility. I would prep, cook, and plate meals in a fine dinning setting. I also closed and clean the kitchen. Eventually I was entrusted with running an outdoor section of the restaurant. 



Public Speaking
At the start of my college career I joined the campus radio station and began speaking on air.  Since then I have disc jockeyed over 100 live shows. Along with that experiance I have been in six live performance in theater arts and music performance as a singer. My presentation speaking skills have been honed by Communication Studies courswork, where I have given at least a dozen presentations.
Event Planning
I began event planning as the civic coordinator for my fraternity Gamma psi. I planned volunteer and fundraiser events. Later I was elected the Remotes Director of the campus radio station, WMLU 91.3 FM. I would schedual disc jockey's to be present and prepared with proper equipment. I am also currently planning an event for the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts' African Art Exhibit.


Jeff Halliday

Prof. Halliday is a Communication Studies professor at Longwood University. He was the advisor at WMLU 91.3fm where I held a leadership role.
