To lead and manage effective delivery services, and its professionals, for a company committed to its employees, clients, and its stockholders, and is compatible with my personal vision of "Enabling others to realize the best within themselves."

Throughout my tenure within "Corporate America" I have worked within numerous industries.  I have contributed to over 50 companies and I still feel like I have not even scratched the surface of my career yet.  Being a Project Manager for IBM Global Services took me to places I had only dreamed of.  Being a part of CenturyLink (formerly Embarq) showed me what I consider "second to none" leadership.  Being a Business Relationship Manager for Navy Federal Credit Union challenged me in evolving a new role during a time of organizational transformation.

As a Business Relationship Manager my overall goal is to enable a strategic partnership between IT and the business to support corporate financial and strategic goals.  This goal is accomplished through the following:

  • Pre-project/program business solution design & delivery
  • Direct projects/programs towards desired technology strategies
  • Align IT strategies in support of business objectives
  • Development/communication of long-range technology strategies
  • Development/communication of project/program estimates for cost-benefit analysis
  • Project/program issue resolution
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiations
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency
  • Project/program prioritization
  • Technical aspects of RFx's
  • Annual capital & expense budgeting

There are also a number of "soft skills" that are needed to be able to deliver on a daily basis.  Those "soft skills" include:

  • Generate and maintain relationships with:
    • Various lines of business (all levels)
    • Internal technical organizations
    • External technical vendors
    • Research firms
  • Have the ability to think, and speak up for "what's best for the company, not the organization"
  • Facilitate and communicate technology impacts and business decisions
  • Share business objectives and strategies across organizations to build consistent understanding
  • Understand / speak to, the implications of technologies / solutions as they relate to the business
  • Gain an understanding of business strategies
  • Gain information on competitor technology
  • Share / promote industry best practices
  • Oversight
    • Ensure collaboration within project/program teams
    • Ensure business needs are being met through service catalog and support requests
    • Be a point of escalation to receive executive attention

My leadership style promotes effective communication, diversity, teamwork, flexibility and innovation. I possess a combination of technical proficiency and sharp organizational and business acumen to direct high-level business affairs. With a focus on operational excellence and customer intimacy, it is my goal, through effective relationships and communication, to help the customer understand what is needed, and develop & deliver a quality solution in a cost effective manner.
