Jack Caynon earned his JD from Yale Law School. He later joined the Connecticut law office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, where he practiced commercial and employment law and dealt with contracts. Subsequently, he became the general counsel and vice president of legal affairs at Roper St. Francis Healthcare in South Carolina. In this position, Jack Caynon headed a complex litigation effort that gave rise to monthly savings of $600,000. He served in executive and general counsel roles at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters Health System, Salem Health, and Southcoast Health System.
Currently, Jack Caynon is a partner at Mirick O'Connell in Massachusetts. He practices in the firm’s Health Law Group, and concentrates his efforts on matters involving regulation and compliance. Responsible for advising healthcare entities, he offers them counsel on entity formation, business structure, and compliance with various regulations.
Mr. Caynon also supports a number of charitable organizations. In addition to serving on the steering committee of the Oregon African American Museum, he has sat on the board of directors of the Mid-Willamette Valley United Way and on the National Urban League Board in Connecticut.
