Habitat for Humanity of Indiana- State Support Organization

Manage all government grant writing and administration for Indiana State Support Organization focusing primarily on the HOME Investment Partnerships Program. Worked with State Director and Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority to secure $700,000 HOME grant to construct 19 units. Complete monitoring and compliance checks, and provide support for all Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Indiana participating in government grant programs. Organize advocacy and outreach efforts for state office, including: facilitation of Habitat Indiana Lobby Day event including recruiting participants, matching participants with legislators and compiling results following the event; preparing information and needs assessments for legislative committee testimony; and dispersing information about advocacy issues to affiliates and the public through website and social media.

Community Development Commission of Mendocino County

Facilitated HOME Investment Partnership Program grant for the City of Ukiah, including: loan servicing; conducting training for prospective homebuyers for First Time Homebuyer Program; upkeep of mortgage documents and grant files; and submitting setup and completion reports and drawdown requests to California Department of Housing and Community Development. Served as program coordinator for Mendocino County Energy Watch low-income energy efficiency program. Tasks for program coordinator position included: submission of all program reports to Pacific Gas & Electric Company, including forecasting and accruals, invoicing and program narratives; organization of holiday light exchange program in County of Mendocino; supervising progress of marketing contractor; meeting with local government officials to begin retrofit projects of government buildings; and organizations of all meetings and conference calls for program.

Provided variety of services to Illinois State University/ Illinois Wesleyan University campus chapter, including: research of and contact with foundations and corporate giving programs; grant writing; organization of area high schools and community colleges to become long-term partners with chapter; and organization of businesses for fundraisers. Produced written research report: "Best Practices of Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Chapters."
