Responsible for the EMS & IT outsourcing activities within the company. Managing spend of around 3.5 Million Euro/year. Strategic suppliers mainly in Spain.
Main goal to identify improvement and savings opportunities in the company by means of partnership agreements (supplier concentration) and supplier development activities (buyer-supplier alignment, quality engineering work teams, process mapping, joint improvement efforts, etc.), and to support other areas of the company in future procurement and purchasing strategy regarding to the development of new products.

Coordination of a SW Engineering Continuous Improving Group (10 engineers) responsible to define the necessary steps to implant the Agile Framework in the SW development department.
Responsible for the Procurement and Purchasing activities within the company. Leading a team of 4 people, managing spend of around 38 Million Euro/year and over 1300 suppliers worldwide. Strategic suppliers mainly in Europe countries (U.K, France, Germany, Norway, and Italy).

Responsible for simultaneously managing several projects of moderate to high risk and complexity through the project life-cycle with the Spanish MoD, the most significant program I participated was as a Program manager for the army tactical communications network (RBA) valued at 53 million Euro which finished in 2002 (350 communication shelter and vehicle installed stations delivered).
Being the primary interface responsible for the successful development and delivery of the systems to the customer, my responsibilities were:

Responsible of the financial, sales, purchasing, and human resources management. Leading a team of 12 people.
Strategical agreements with suppliers (Siemens, Philips, Legrand, etc.).
Main customers: electrical installations companies, Social Security, Comunidad de Madrid, UNWTO, and small and medium size construction companies.
As a result of the 90's economic crisis several of the customers were into bankruptcy involving the stoppage of business activity of the company.
Responsible for the business development at European Space Agency, European Community R&D, Spanish R&D, and National Institute Space Technology (INTA) programs for the on-board electronics, ground-segment, and communications systems departments.

Some of the projects I was involved in were: Spanish Defence Satellite Communications System (SECOMSAT), Maritime Rescue System (COSPAS/SARSAT), development of an on-board 32-bits microprocessor instructions set, MINISAT program (INTA), portable satellite communications terminal, satellite communication systems for WEU, ARIANE V ground telemetry and trajectography system.
Involved in the international R&D programs as a contract manager (EUCLID, ESPRIT, BRITE-EURAM, RACE, and PRONTIC).

I worked at Philips´ big accounts department as UNIX-INFORMIX systems analyst Technician.

A medium size company with two factories. It produces diapers.
Responsible for setting up the Information Systems department and to design and develop the financial, and manufacturing control systems.
