Work experience

Jan 2000Present

US Air Force

I have been employed as an instructor in the Air Force for ten years.  Technical training included learning the fundamentals of teaching and instruction as well as an introduction to various types of learners.  Application of this knowledge was accomplished throughout the training in both classroom and field environments.  Other areas of expertise include:  adult education, developing effective curricula and instructional aids, and teaching using various methods of delivery.  Throughout my career in the Air Force I have become proficient in academic stage teaching, lecture presentations, role-play instruction, impromptu instruction, briefings, instructing in austere environments and incorporating recent technology within all instructional strategies.

There is a heavy emphasis on inter-personal skills and leadership within my job as an instructor as well.  Currently, I am pursuing my B.S. degree in Workforce Education and Curriculum Development in order to further my knowledge and expertise as an instructor.

My interests include teaching, mathematics, solving problems, teamwork, leadership and the military.

Outside of professional interests I would like to be a pilot someday, I love to skydive, enjoy camping and being outdoors.

I am currently in the Air Force and don't currently have plans to separate.  That doesn't mean that I am not open to other options however.  I plan to be done with my Workforce Education and Development Bachelors by the end of this year and am looking forward to see what opportunities it may create for me.
