Summary        Director, responsible for all Direct Sourcing, Purchasing and Quality Assurance for the Canadian operations of the Hanes Brands Inc, based out of Montreal, Canada. Strongproven skills in strategic planning, product development, project management, initiating and executing viable vendor sourcing network. In-depth knowledge and experience ofrisk management, strategy implementation, quality assurance, budget, finance controls and team building. Was instrumental in reducing the product cost, improving margins and ROI. Appointed to the Executive board position in January 2009. Significant contributions made towards the ‘change program’ needed to operate in the international market.

·Initiatedthe strategy and implemented the transfer to direct sourcing

·Set up new sourcing operation, overhauled and developed new sourcing and purchasingsystems for direct sourcing and implemented systems in the Head Office and Far East resulting in a seamless operation. This also involved setting up 40 Vendors in 11 countries and 4 QA operations.

·Responsible for transferring all the product on a direct basis with Far East vendors which includes running over 300 styles a year.

·Consolidated the sourcing and purchasing operations in the Montreal head office

·Moved all suppliers to direct finance instruments

·Ensured all suppliers were WRAP & GSScertified

·The move to direct sourcing has resulted in a significant contribution to the bottom line and a long term future for the Company which is a market leader in the country

·Extensive training programs set up in the office on system operations, QA, supply chain management, communication and negotiating skills to bring them in line with international practices and standards

·Managed and lead the team to help associate companies in Mexico and Latin America to direct source from Far East and Asia, including a lead on the development for the "One World Crew T".

Regional Director responsible for Far East Supply Chain operations, based out of Thailand. This involved managing 5 country offices and establishing procurement supply base in 12 countries. Successfully cultivated and managed vendor data base of over 300 suppliers providing over 5,000 lines of product per year with a yearly turnover of over US$ 130 million. Key responsibilities included initiating andoverseeingstrategy for direct business, streamlining operations to provide cost effective sourcing to four divisions. Significant contribution made towards launchinga Code of Conduct and implementing the Ethical Trading policy for the Group across the vendor base.
