event planning, marketing or public relations with emphasis in international communications or environmental issues.

Interest

I love dancing (I started taking lessons at the age of 4 and I'm still dancing), singing, acting and playing instruments. I enjoy reading and speaking French, traveling, photography, writing and good food.

I also have a keen interest in environmental issues and studied watershed policy and climatology as part of my minor in geography. Geology is also really enjoyable to me as well as spending time outdoors.

Summary

Event Planning

Coordinating the statewide Talent Contest and the entertainment at the Oregon State Fair from June 2007-Sept 2011 (seasonally) and assisted Blush Bridal Consultation professional on day of wedding in 2010. In 2010 I was the on-site Event Coordinator for the Dallas Event Center. From June-August 2011 I was the day-of coordinator and assisted a couple with planning in preparation for their wedding.  

French

I have the equivalent of three years of college French. I studied French full time in Angers, France from September through December 2008. I will be working in Lille, France from October 2011-May 2012 as an English classroom assistant in two middle schools, Marie Curie and Lucie Aubrac, to further my understanding of the French culture and improve my knowledge of the language.

Microsoft Word and Excel

I used Word in classes at the University of Oregon. Also, I continue to use Word to write media releases. I have used Excel all four years working for the Oregon State Fair to keep track of data for each entertainment act, monitor my given budget and schedule my interns.
