Summary

My mission is to provide students the knowledge, skills, and work ethics needed to compete globally for jobs and to become productive citizens in their communities.  In order to support students' needs, I must stay current on teaching techniques and technological advances.  Students are growing up in a digital world and in order to maintain their interests in learning, technology has to be integrated into the educational setting.  Technology in the classroom increases confidence by allowing students to express their creativeness and thought processes on the curriculum being learned, thus becoming owners in the work.  Using technology in the classroom also provides the opportunity to reach all learners.  I will provide assignments that encourage higher order thinking from my students and create challenging enrichment activities in addition to the traditional instruction students receive in my classroom.
