Sony / ATV Music Publishing

Sony/ATV Music Publishing became the largest publishing company in the world after purchase of EMI Music Publishing.

  • Oversee IT staff and operations in Nashville, Miami, LA, Canada, Mexico and South America.
  • Oversee operations of the Nashville Data center server architecture, IT projects, supervise desktop support team, and network maintenance.

Saved over $250,000/year renegotiating contracts and another $200,000/year by streamlining and improving processes, infrastructure, and systems.

Projects includes:

  • Complete Data Center and Network infrastructure upgrade in 3 buildings at Nashville locations (Switches, Routers/Core, Racks, Servers, complete rewire, etc...) This includes evaluating, negotiating pricing, and choosing the best hardware and vendors.
  • Full inventory and integration of EMI network into Sony/ATV's network worldwide post Sony/ATV purchase of EMI. This includes connectivity and integration of 58 offices worldwide, and Data Centers located in NY, London, LA, and Argentina.
  • New hardware deployment (Servers as well as over 100 desktops in Nashville).
  • New wireless infrastructure Nationwide.
  • Document Management replacement and implementation Worldwide.
  • Implementation of security to meet GISS standards and Security Audits.
  • Upgrade JD Edwards system to Microsoft Dynamics Navision and BPC.
  • Implement New Sophos Anti-Virus Solution Worldwide.
  • Implement New Smartphone Policy Security settings Worldwide.
  • Implement SmartPhone MDM software Worldwide.
  • Virtualization of Physical servers.

IT Network Engineer

Williamson Medical Center

Hired as part of major undertaking to double the size of data center, and upgrade of most servers as well as implementation of EMC NS960, DataDomain, and new backup/security system.

  • Overseeing build out of new Data Center (from construction, to racks, servers, switches, cabling, power, redundancy, etc...)
  • Overseeing purchase and implementation of new servers and network infrastructure.
  • Virtualization of physical servers to VMWare.
  • Upgrade of all major medical systems (Meditech 6.0, Backup, redundancy, Imaging, Electronic Health

Records, Electronic Document Management, etc...)

  • Setup of uniform Analysis and reporting procedures.
  • Maintenance of servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Backups of every server (over 200 servers).
  • Anti-Virus deployment and update.

  • Added over 1 million in revenue in one year.
  • Setup and Creation of Electronic Document Management (EDM) and Managed Print Services (MPS) department.
  • Oversee sales team as pre and post-sales tech support.
  •  Work with AE’s to find correct product set for potential customers.
  • In charge of walkthroughs at customer’s location, recommendations, demo, as well as implementation and installation of all EDM/EHR/EMR and MPS systems. Includes integration with current billing and scheduling software, such as Medisoft.
  • Writing detailed descriptions and analysis of user needs, business impacts and systems functionality for software development life cycle.
  • Create presentations and proposals to present to customers (from Head of IT to C Level executives). Business size proposed to ranged from medium size to fortune 500 companies.
  • Help customers with network issues between Copiers, scanners and EDM/EHR/EMR systems.
  • Analyze customer’s network, scanning, and printing using discovery software and walkthroughs to help them find the best solution possible.
  • Most companies I sell and propose to are hospitals including companies who own multiple hospitals, Medical Clinics, Doctors offices, small to large manufacturers, Universities and Colleges, Law firms, and World Wide Corporations.

Khena was a direct employee of mine working as a Director of IT.

Khena oversaw our Nashville Data Center operations and as well as infrastructure for Latin America and Canada.

In addition to his day to day infrastructure responsibilities, Khena was put in charge of implementing several systems

for our company including Smartsearch and Boxtones.

He oversaw the complete rebuilding of the Nashville Network and the MPLS upgrade of several of our locations.

Khena was always positive, organized and prepared.He worked very well with vendors on pricing and always managed to get better than expected rates.Recently our company had to merge operations with another larger company and Khena was integral in keeping his staff on top of the grueling day to day integration and working with new staff.
