Healthgreen is a global social venture working to improve the health status and quality of health care received by people living in limited resoure areas by innovating, adapting and deploying low-cost health technolgies.   

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee all aspects of Healthgreen's operations including building the business processes and infrastructure required to support the activities necessary to fulfill Healthgreen's mission
  • Serve as project lead for initial project(s) in each new market Healthgreen enters
  • Responsible for fundraising, donor relations, business development and strategic partnership development

Accomplishments:

  • Operationalized organization - codified business processes, project management approach and organizational structure, strengthened board and funding base
  • Led Healthgreen's efforts to develop Remi-d, the world's only remotely operated X-ray system, innovated jointly with technology partner Merge Healthcare
  • Built a wide range of high-level, global relationships across health care stakeholders among for-profits, governements, NGOs, and academia   

Key Highlights:

  • Healthgreen named to "25 Most Influential in Radiology" during first full year of operation
  • Deployed digital imaging projects bringing medical imaging services to more than 200,000 people

The Taylor Group

The Taylor Group LLC (TG) is a boutique private equity firm focused on providing capital and business advisory services to women and minority-owned companies.

Responsibilities Included:

  • Deal sourcing and screening
  • Management of investment due diligence process
  • Oversight and business advisory for portfolio companies in biotecn and business services industries

Accomplishments:

  • Developed and launched new subsidiary, Taylor Group Institute for Entrepreneurship (TGIE). 
  • Wrote curriculum for TGIE programs
  • Developed and launched quarterly TGIE Entrepreneurs' Breakfast Forum, a key marketing event for The Taylor Group

The Runners' Club

The Runners' Club was a national entrepreneurial development program created to assist exisiting and aspiring entrepreneurs in their efforts to achieve large-scale success.  In 2006, the program was merged with the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center.

Responsibilities Included:

  • Managed all aspects of the organization's operation
  • Provided coaching to the Program's CEOs and their management teams with an empahsis on the identification of hurdles to growth as well as the develoment of strategies and workplans designed to overcome those hurdles
  • Assisted companies with the business planning process and capital raising (both debt and equity)

Accomplishments:

  • Increased program membership 400%
  • Expanded base of program funders 150%
  • Program entrepreneurs increased job creation by 200%

Bank of America Securities LLC was the investment banking division of Bank of America until its merger with Merril Lynch in 2008.

Responsibilities Included:

  • Prepared finanacial analyses used to advise clients on complex transactions such as the feasibility of debt and equity repurchases, viability of leveraged buyouts, M&A transaction structures and optimal capital structure evaluation
  • Supported relationship managers in Automotive, Transportation, Food & Beverage and Retail sectors

Responsibilities Included:

  • Assessed financial and strategic value of primary care and specialty physician group practices for potential hopital acquirers
  • Worked with cross-functional teams charged with reengineering hospital processes in the areas of personnel, staffing, quality control and patient care
