Office Manager

  • Worked in several capacities for a fast-growing, social enterprise start-up, with the mission of empowering a global workforce using crowd-sourced work. 
  • Began as Operations Assistant, helping to send client and worker thank yous for the company's extensive, global workforce. Kept afloat of relationships with lead generation clients, by sending custom thank you notes, and gifts. 
  • Assisted with recruiting, working alongside the Head of Recruiting at the UC Berkeley careers fair.
  • Promoted to Office Manager where I ensured the smooth functioning of the office, planned events such as happy hours, and company outings, coordinated deliveries and repairs, and helped revise the on-boarding process.

International Rescue Committee (IRC)
  • Worked in many capacities at a busy resettlement office in Oakland.
  • Escorted recently resettled refugees to and from medical appointments, visit clients for Home Visits and Assess their resettlement metrics.

Impact Hub SoMA
  • Interned at a social impact startup and incubator, and was accordingly able to network within the small Bay Area social enterprises community.
  • Acted as Hub brand ambassador by promoting events and interacting personably with attendees to events.
  • Marketed events by targeting specific interest groups for each type of Hub event.
  • Transformed Hub work space into event space by rearranging furniture and posting signage.

Arab Film Festival
  • Initially, hired as an intern, “stop­dubbed” selected films for 2013 festival,  assisted with schedule and programming of the Arab Film  Festival in Berkeley, LA, and SF and copyedited the festival’s final program.
