Aegis Heritage Institute e.V  (NGO)

Founding member and president. Aegis Heritage Institute seeks to promote the safeguard art and culture, in particular by keeping, maintaining and protecting endangered cultural heritage.

  • Developing  a platform to record and preserve intangible culture such as stories, legends, memories of culture at risk, working as a social network, shared and managed by communities called the Heriga Project. Developed in Django and Python.
  • Developed a prototype for a conservation course using Unity3d.  The project was built to recreate a 3D e-learning environment that allowed hands-on interaction with ancient cultural artefacts. The goal was to teach students conservation techniques for archaeological materials by presenting a virtual online class using the leap motion hand tracking controller.

Responsible for the documentation, management and analysis of information regarding contexts, artefacts and architectural remains of excavation projects in Berlin: Berliner Schlossplatz (Modern/Medieval);  Breite Strasse (Mesolithic/Neolithic/Medieval); Rudow (Nazi forced labor camp), Tacheles (Modern). 

  • Supervised projects in multiple construction sites in the area of Brandenburg: Teupitz (Neolithic); Lebus (Medieval); Neue Palais Potsdam (Neolithic); Egsdorf (Neolithic); Ruhland (Neolithic); Altlandsberg (Medieval); Bolfrashaus Frankfurt (Medieval/Modern);
  • Experienced with anthropological excavation techniques and recording: Marienkirche (Modern/Medieval), Frankfurt Oder/ Lindenstr. (Modern).
  • Involved with Total-Station field set-up and surveying.
  • Managed RAW data in Autocad and GIS applications.
  • Performed 3D modelling and reconstruction.
  • Identified, classified and photographed findings of several projects.

  • Developed skills in underwater drawing,x photography, written records and triangulation measurements;
  • Performed survey techniques in the aqueduct remains of the lake in the city of Butrint;
