Aegis Heritage Institute e.V (NGO)

Founding member and president. Aegis Heritage Institute seeks to    promote and safeguard art and culture, in particular by keeping, maintaining and protecting endangered cultural heritage.

  • Developing  a platform called Heriga to record and preserve intangible culture such as stories, legends, and memories of cultures at risk, working as a social network, shared and managed by communities. Developed in Django and Python.
  • Developed a prototype for a conservation course using Unity3d.  A 3D e-learning environment that allowed hands-on interaction with ancient cultural artefacts using the Leap Motion hand tracking controller.

Responsible for the documentation, management and analysis of information regarding contexts, artefacts and architectural remains of excavation projects in Berlin.

  • Supervised projects on multiple construction sites in areas of Berlin and Brandenburg;
  • Experienced with anthropological excavation techniques and recording;
  • Involved with Total-Station field set-up and surveying;
  • Managed RAW data in Autocad and GIS applications;
  • Performed 3D modelling and reconstruction.

Volunteering

Underwater Archaeology and Biology Field School (2013)

Participated in a field school offered by the   Albanian Centre for Marine Research and the RPM Foundation in Saranda, Albania.

  • Performed multiple dives in archaeological sites dated  from the 5th century B.C.E. thought World War II;
  • Developed skills in underwater drawing, photography, written records and triangulation measurements;
  • Performed survey techniques in the aqueduct remains of the lake in the city of Butrint;
