Manuals for a modular fighting system that digitally links soldiers on the battlefield.

  • Wrote Land Warrior Laptop user manual covering both software and hardware systems. Manual was issued by US Army and is now in use by troops.
  • Modified XML text and images to conform to government standards. These modifications were necessary for issuing production-ready documents.
2006 - 2008

New releases and updates to corporate standards after IBM's purchase of MRO Software.

  • Created release documents for upgrading IBM Maximo and IBM Tivoli base services. This document was necessary for customers who needed to upgrade the system on their middleware servers.
  • Managed extensive database of documentation issues. Identified, researched, and resolved the top priority items taht affected customer business applications.
  • Rebranded MRO software's Maximo documentation. This effort streamlined corporate branding in the early phases of the acquisition.
2001 - 2006

Senior Technical Writer

MRO Software

Help and guides for a complex enterprise software product that tracks the management of capital assets.

  • Wrote manual for a mobile product that used a handhelp wireless device to issue materials and perform physical counts through a real-time database connection. This product was MRO Software's first mobile application.
  • Created and maintained all online and hardcopy Actuate report documentation for Maximo. Reporting documentation was an important element in determining critical asset performance.
  • Reworked Maximo installation guides. Responsible for updating multiple application servers, database servers, and operating system configurations. Converted one long narrative process to a series of logical and complete steps. Revised guide increased customer acceptance.
  • Completed updates to financial help topics and finance manager guide. This material was critical for customers using the product's financial applicatinos.
  • Lead team that created white paper on internal department processes and procedures. This white paper was necessary for customer auditing purposes.
