Oversees the smooth and safe operation of the railway station and especially customers safety.

Signalling the guard or driver for departure, and ensuring that passengers board and disembark safely.

Checking tickets and giving information on services, routes, train times and delays to the customers.

It’s about putting  customers at the heart of every decision you make, using  judgement to support and advise, as well as taking the responsibility to gather information or find out answers on their behalf.

Ultimately, it’s about making the customer’s journey as simple as possible, so they can concentrate on getting better.
