I was involved in various sports clubs throughout Primary School. These included Netball, Badminton and Football. Unfortunately when I progressed into Secondary School I had to give up these sports as they either didn't have the necessary clubs and/or I didn't have the time.
From the ages of 5 to13 I was involved in the Girl Guiding Community. I started off as a Rainbow, then went on to be a Brownie and eventually a Girl Guide. Through this I was able to be a part of the Haarlem Jamborette 2007 and got to go to Haarlem for 10 days with Guides and Scout from around the World. This was a very good opportunity as I got to learn many new skills and meet people from many different ways of life. We had to raise around 15% of the funds for the trip and we did this by doing fundraising activities such as helping people pack their shopping in a busy supermarket in Edinburgh and washing people's cars in the local village. The entire experience of the trip is unforgettable and the skills and things I learnt from the other people at the Jamborette will hopefully be useful for me in the future.
