#1. VT Group Internal Portal. VT Group is a leading defense and support services company, providing engineering and other support services to governments and large organizations around the world. VT Group requires intranet portals to be setup for various business divisions. A total of 4 portals are being developed using SharePoint 2007 which includes a knowledge base, Capability, PMO and a bids management portal. The work involves creating Site Templates, Custom Navigation controls, Custom field controls, custom web parts and extensive use of SOM to achieve functionality which is not available out-of-box

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involved in developing Web Parts with custom tool parts and field controls.
  • Customized the default Versioning system. And allows the user to choose among either default or custom versioning systems.
  • Involved in setting up the SharePoint production environment which is of medium server farm with 2 WFE's, 1 Application Server, 1 clustered DB and a Domain Server.

#2. ELC Wholesale Ordering system. Mothercare UK Ltd. is Britain's largest retailer of clothing and accessories for mothers and young children. With more than 370 stores throughout Great Britain, Europe, Middle East and Asia, Mothercare UK has a centralized inventory management system which is an IBM AS-400 based application. The requirement was to automate the manual process of wholesale ordering. A custom application was developed using WSS 3.0 that would allow users from UK and Hong Kong to co-ordinate the processing of creating price lists and purchase orders. The application had very deep levels of integration with the IBM AS-400 systems in order to minimize human intervention and errors.Client: Mothercare, UK.

  • Involved in developing a custom workflow that automates the price lists and purchase order processes.
  • The process executed in an integrated environment of MOSS 2007 and AS-400 systems.
  • A Linked server is created in SQL Server 2005 which linked to the AS-400 DB. SharePoint Makes use of the Linked Server to communicate to the AS-400 DB

#3. Take Two Interactive, Collaboration Portal: MOSS 2007. Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. is a leading worldwide publisher, developer and distributor of interactive entertainment software, hardware and accessories. The project was completed in two phases. The first involved in setting up and building an intranet portal for the UK division of Take 2 using MOSS 2007. The second phase was an enhancement to the portal by building a HR Management System using SharePoint workflows that covered Leave and Travel Requisition.Client: Take Two Interactive Software Inc., Windsor, England.

  • Involved in branding and custom webpart development.
  • Engaged in design and development of SharePoint designer workflows to automate the HR related Processes (Processes includes Leave and Travel Requisition).
  • Involved in writing Event Receivers and Custom SPD Activities that supports the HRMS workflow processes.

#4. Parity, Business Process Automation: MOSS 2007, K2 Black Pearl. Parity is a Software Development and Outsourcing company.  We at parity involved in development of a Document Management System using MOSS 2007. The DMS has a complex Business process which automated using BPM tool K2 BlackPoint.Client: Parity, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

#5. Dubai School of Government (DSG), MS Dynamics BP Customization. The Dubai School of Government (DSG) is a research and teaching institution focusing on public policy in the Arab world. As per their needs we Implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 as their financial software (Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Fixed Assets and Analytical Accounting modules). Apart from that we have created custom routines like auto bank reconciliation, bank deposit and custom reports in Crystal Reports and FRx. Also, we implemented Business Portal 4.0 for GP 10.0 and customize the standard Requisition Line Form as per client requirement.Client: Dubai School of Government (DSG), Dubai.

  • Customized standard Requisition Line Form to store substitute line item for each requisition lines.
  • Customized the Line entry form to add new columns that manages the Dimension code entries.

#6. NYCEDC, Publishing Website: Migration MCMS 2002 to MOSS 2007. New York City Economic Development Corp. which is formally known as NYCEDC is a not-for-profit corporation performed economic development services for the city. The current website which was developed with Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 has been migrated to use Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007. The "Look and feel" and content of the existing website has been retained in the migrated website.Client: New York City Economic Development Corporation, New York, United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Created In-house tool that automates the site creation as per the entire site structure from a custom site definition and with required permission levels using SOM.
  • Involved in developing Proof of Concept for using InfoPath Forms in the public website
  • Worked in Row Based Content Engine. Row based Data is handled by creating a custom site column inheriting multiline text. The Data is in the form of XML.
  • Worked in a Custom State Machine Workflow using windows workflow foundation to manage the page approval process.
  • Made use of Enterprise Search API to customize the search query.

#7. Baerum Bilutleie, CMS Portal: MOSS 2007. Baerum Bilutleie is a Norwegian car rental firm. We developed a public facing Content Management Portal which built on top of MOSS 2007. It allows client to update their product catalogs and automates the process of the company. The process involves Selling/Renting cars.  Client: Bærum bilutleie, Norway.

'Let's Go with the Children' is a public facing website that provides ultimate tool for choosing where to go and what to do with the children in and around UK. It is packed with hundreds of ideas of places to go and things to do for anyone with children. The Application is built on top of DNN Architecture which powered pack with distinct Search that enable users to search for attraction places, activities, events, birthday parties etc. It provides an online environment to place the advertisements. The Application has a shopping cart that features purchasing the books, guides, tickets, memberships, discount and spaces for the communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involved in design, development and implementation of custom modules in DNN.
  • Built a Shopping cart tool that helps to sell products, reserve tickets and pay for Ads. A custom module that allows users to advertise online in the portal. The module integrated with WorldPay Payment Gateway for processing the payments.
  • Designed, built and implemented a multi-lingual content management custom module in DNN to allow all aspects of the site, including images, to be translated for both languages and regions.

Online Course Registration is a web application (shopping cart) built on top of .Net Framework 2.0. The application allows users to reserve seat for courses provided by the training institute. The application uses EBS Pay payment gateway to process the payments.

#14. 2D Feature Recognition (Sheet Metal).

2D Feature Recognition is a Macro developed using VBA, which reads Drawing from AutoCAD (Sheet metal) and finds feature crafted on the sheet metal. It has a vast database through which it suggests appropriate machining to operate feature on the sheet metal. It also generates a report summarizing cost of the operation.

#15. 3D Feature Recognition (Part Modeling).

3D Feature Recognition is a tool developed in Visual Basic. A 3D model (with features like holes, bends or cuts) is created using Catia V5 and Pro/E. The purpose of the tool is to identify such features and to propose appropriate machining operation to manufacture the model.  The tool inputs a step file (.stp) which is an ISO standard exchange format for 3D models that helps to scan and visualize the 3D object (Part Model) in Visual Basic. It uses a Database that tracks the machining operations available at the factory.

  • UK Visit: Involved in development and implementation of business Process automation for the clients Parity (Belfast, Northern Ireland) using K2 Black Point and MOSS 2007. Also involved in setting up collaborative Intranet portal with an automated HRMS system for Take Two International (Windsor, England).
  • US Visit: Involved in Business related discussions with client New York City Economic Development Corporation formally known as NYCEDC (New York, United States), Participated in mentoring business customers in use of enabling technologies and improving processes based on MOSS 2007.
