Comprising a long and interesting career in transportation, the professional life of Ingrid Reeves has encompassed the U.S. Navy, container transportation companies, logistics organizations, and maritime firms. For the past six years, Ms. Reeves has held responsibilities in Birmingham, Alabama, as Customer Service Manager with Iowa-based CRST International. The transportation firm offers dedicated truckload services throughout North America and Central America. Striving to meet all budget and performance goals for CRST, Ingrid Reeves coordinates transportation closely with internal customers and corporate leadership. Ms. Reeves obtained her B.S. in Marine Transportation at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. She notably earned a U.S. Coast Guard Third Mate’s license, enabling her to navigate ships of unlimited tonnage. Joining the U.S. Navy upon graduation, she obtained the rank of Lieutenant during her eight years of service. From 1993 to 1994, Ingrid Reeves served as Second Mate with Foss Maritime, a Seattle company that employs tugs, ships, and barges in providing safe navigation solutions. From 1994 through 2000, Ms. Reeves held a position as Operations Manager with the container transportation company APL, Ltd. In this capacity, she coordinated, planned, and oversaw the unloading and loading of thousands of import and export containers each week. She maintained the cargo-handling costs of seven ship services and deployments either at or below budget.From 2000 to 2001, Ms. Reeves was Ocean Import/Export Coordinator with Schenker, Inc., managing the import of automotive parts to a U.S. Mercedes plant from Italy and Germany. She coordinated services with a complex network of transportation providers, including steamship lines, railroads, trucking companies, consignees, and shippers. Ingrid Reeves is a member of WTS International, the organization of women in transportation.
