Leads and manages daily business operations of the Buckley Air Force Base Chapel. Currently responsible for long-range budgetary planning, resource management, facility management, and event scheduling and planning. Oversees the Department of Defense annual budget allocation of $152,000 that includes personnel service contract position management and tracking of staff travel expenditures. Additionally, performs human resource management for staff of 10 personnel. Provides job and career training and information including information on pay, career progression, family matters, equal opportunity, sexual harassment, promotion/advancement, etc.- Developed training program that took on the job training knowledge consistently rated as poor to above average, job and career knowledge testing results was at below 70% now above 85%- Deftly coordinated scheduling of personnel that supported 1000 parishioners and other attendees per week- Facility Management oversees safety, security and maintenance of $6 million facility- Provided strategic vision, input and budgetary guidance for $120K government funded budget and $110K tithe and offering fund. - Oversees operation and job performance of six government contracts. Researched, chronicled, developed and wrote a semi-annual narrative history of Buckley Air Force Base. Performed functions as an archivist for a variety of historical artifacts, photographs, and documentation. Responsible for the development of crests and shields, historical displays, and research concerning Air Force history. Developed and provided historical briefings for varied military and civilian audiences. - Produced 175-plus page history narrative every 6 months with a 100% on-time rate. This semi-annual history was consistently rated as excellent by higher authorities. - Conducted historian operations twice under wartime conditions with same result as above - Provided exacting detail for development and processing of Air Force lineage/heritage artifacts - Worked closely with vast array of people, organizations and companies answering historical queries. This included United States Congress, the Discovery Channel, Time magazine, students (from doctoral candidates to grade schoolers, and the general public). - Developed and conducted historical presentations on a variety of Air Force history topics and presented to the general public, military organizations, and senior managers/leaders.
