Aaron Hill is the Co-Founder and Principal of Starting Sustainability SBC, LLC. He has extensive experience in sustainability methodologies and sustainable business development. Hi s experience includes; Corporate Sustainability Reporting, Sustainability Assessments, Environmental Management Systems, Strategic Sustainability Design and Management Systems and Cooperative Business Models.

Aaron has over eight years of experience in Geotechnical/ Environmental Engineering throughout California. His experience includes a balance of field performance, business development and project management. The projects have included soil and groundwater sampling programs, residential and commercial building foundation designs, and pavement distress investigations, overall site evaluations, and preliminary and follow-up environmental site assessments. Aaron has authored and co-authored over 200 propriety reports of Geotechnical and Environmental investigations and observations. Mr. Hill has been deposed in construction defect litigations.

Currently Aaron is exploring opportunities for the development of metric and audit programs that focus on the relationship between social capital and financial returns. He has been actively researching how organizations are measuring and leveraging their social capital for financial gains.

Aaron Hill has an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from Dominican University of California in San Rafael, California and a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Horticulture from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and currently resides in Portland, Oregon.
