Selected Accomplishments

Reversed market share decline with new Smart technology. Dresser Flow Technologies (DFT) was losing market share in control valves. Developed, implemented and executed turnaround with Smart valve technology products with aggressive direct and channel marketing. Smart sales grew from zero to $340M annually in 12 years.

Developed $50M sales through strategic alliances. DFT customers were turning to single source of supply to reduce costs. Developed new bid process including strategies, reporting and implementation tools to encourage and secure Global Alliances. Won exclusives with BASF, Shell Oil, Dow Chemical, ExxonMobil and others.

Converted global sales team to Value Selling. Control Components (CCI) needed to completely reorganize sales. Designed, created and implemented conversion of 400-person sales team in 23 countries from old-style features & benefits to Value Selling techniques. Delivered 10% increase in ASP and margin drop through.

Reduced time-to-market for new application software. DFT needed to upgrade software development to meet market demands. Drew-up plan to implement 24-hour development and validation capabilities in US, India and China. Increased output 230% to 1 million lines of code annually while reducing development costs 58%.

Spearheaded $60M joint venture with Yokogawa Electric. DFT had no experience with new international digital protocol. Designed and managed highly-successful joint venture with Yokogawa Electric of Japan that led to development of market-leading technology. Suite of goods and services achieved 12% CAGR.

Plugged $16M gap in instrumentation product line. Elsag Bailey, Inc. (EBY) lacked measurement instrumentation product in its lineup and was missing out on bundled orders. Managed product development and startup of operations for standalone business unit. Reached #2 in market share from cold start within three years.
