Biggs-Steele College Writing Award (2010):

  • This award is given annually to students in recognition of either "greatest achievement" or "greatest improvement" in writing in English 130.

·Future Greek Leader Honorable Mention (2010):

  • This award is given to the runner up in the freshman class who shows the most potential to lead the Greek community in the coming years.

·Class Valedictorian, South Central High School (2009):

·Notre Dame Moose-Krause Scholar-Athlete Award (2009):

  • Awarded to the Indiana high school student-athlete football players who demonstrate the most success on the field, in the classroom, and who helps the community

·H.W. “Tom” Wallace Scholar (2009):

  • Awarded to one male and one female Indiana high school basketball player that demonstrates the most success on the court, in the classroom, and who helps the community


My eight grade basketball coach once said, "Good things happen to people who work hard.  Remeber that.  No matter what, good things happen to people who work hard."

I have held those words close to my heart and head ever since that day and owe many of my accomplishments to it.  Because of those few words, I engage myself fully in whatever endeavor I undertake and work tirelessly to perform at my best.

Volunteer Work

·Relay for Life Sponsorship Committee Member (2010):

  • I helped raise over $150,000 for cancer research by promoting our cause to local businesses and Greek houses asking for their support.

·Member of the Special Olympics Committee for DePauw (2010):

  • I represented ATO and helped organize our contribution as a house to the Special Olympics.

 Prospective Student Fair Volunteer (January 2010):

  • I worked a booth with Dr. Lemon, head of the Management Fellows Program, discussing with prospective students my experience as a management fellow.

 Hartman House Heifer Ranch Alternative Spring Break Member (2010):

  • I built over 1,500 yards of barbed wire fence to help create a pasture and was educated on world hunger, poverty, and sustainability.

Leadership Experience

  Management Fellow Student Council Member (January 1, 2010 – Present):

  • I help plan management fellows social events and nominate successful entrepreneurs for the McDermond Medal.

·ATO Pledge Class President (2009 – Present):

  • I help organize my pledge class by calling meetings to discuss current issues and activities going on in the house.Also, I hold a chair on the Executive Council for ATO, helping to make decisions regarding the house.
