Eye Care For Kids Foundation

Serve on the Board of Governors for Eye Care For Kids... an organization that has supplied over 20,000 children of all ages FREE or low cost eye care that includes a professional eye exam and a pair of eye glasses.

I also built the website for the organization, and am now starting to help the foundation in efforts in Social Media including Facebook and Twitter to help raise awareness.

What I do with WSI? First off, I am a business marketing consultant or adviser, a trusted partner to your business helping guide you to make the best possible online and in some cases offline marketing decisions. Most companies have such advisers in the way of attorneys and CPA's, but when it comes to advertising most small to medium size companies go it alone and get bombarded daily by so many advertising opportunities to make ones head spin. That is where I come in. I like to sit down with a business and help map out the most cost effective marketing solution possible centering around online marketing activities that can be tracked and assessed on a regular basis and, like in no other medium, actually track your advertising ROI.

This was a fun company I started that never quite took off here in Utah.

Doc Concierge was a corporate and individual concierge service. We booked travel, planned events, and arranged anything from concert tickets to dry cleaning services for our clients.

Some days I think of bringing this company back to life with all that can be done now online.

Treat 'em Right Solutions

Treat 'em Right Solutions was a great comapny with a unique product. We had a follow up greeting card system we would sell to businesses to then send to their clients. These cards would be campaigns where a customer would receive many cards throughout the year from the comapny, starting with a Thank You card, reminder cards, holiday cards, and birthday cards,

The system was all online and automated so a company could set the campaign up and not have to worry that the card could get delivered.

Cards were customized with cliet logo and imagry, and was a huge hit and helped clients with retaining future business from the company through an online referral system that was set up.

Before leaving, I had a nice client base, and was helping to manage the sales force we had in the field.

Just as I was leaving the company, Treat 'em Right Solutions was being transformed into a network marketing company now known as Send Out Cards.

Fireplaces Inc. & Bernco Distributors

Fireplaces Inc was the retail arm of our wholesale division called Bernco Distributors.

Fireplaces Inc and Bernco was the largest retail / wholesale supplier of fireplace and outdoor products in Utah and surrounding states. At one time we had 6 retail locations.

We had a distribution network of 30+ dealers in Utah and surrounding states,, and provided product to many of the top home builders in the state.

In 2001 we sold the company, and when we did I decided it was time for me to move on.

One of our manufacturers in the fireplace industry put us through many off site and on-site training courses relation to RCI or Kaizen.

Learned how to simplify business processes to save businesses time and money through a think tank type effort.

After using CYMA for a couple of years, I decided it was time to not only run our accounting by way of computers, but all of our inventory and order processing as well.   We searched and had demos on many platforms, and Touchstone 2000 was the best solution we found.   We launched this platform in our retail and wholesale locations by networking all computers via Citrix and cloud / remote computing.

CYMA Accounting Software

This was the first software system our company used. Until we launched CYMA I was processing thousands of invoices, and receivables by hand on ledgers daily. Making the switch to CYMA improved work flow tremendously.
