• Mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them • Respond to, analyze and resolve client and PC issues while making use of an in-house help desk system • Supporting the roll-out of new applications. Testing, and evaluating new technology. • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks. troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults. • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution • Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced resources (e.g. developer, analyst, engineer, etc.). • Working with the Systems Application Support in identifying and proposing application system changes, better uses, enhancements and developments and liaising with appropriate vendors, users and the IT Team.
