Responsibilities were included but not limited to the following: • Infrastructure designing, Planning and Operation support services • Data sizing and Hardware & Software Selection (dealing more or less 24 TB data on per month basis, completely dynamic database) • Heading the department of enterprise network and operation support services, LAN/WAN/Radio links and other Communication equipments • Providing services to Operation department of IAS (investigative analysis system) during the crisis in the country • Designing and developing an IAS for the law enforcement and intelligence analyst. • Binary CDR files Collection & Mediation IAS has started to collect RAW CDRs files (binary files) from all GSM, WLL/CDMA, TDMA, LDI and Fixed Phone operators automatically. Presently collecting and mediating following hardware switches data: Nortel, Siemens, Ericsson, Alcatel, Huawei & ZTE Mediating and compiling large amounts of seemingly independent and unrelated data into orderly, understandable, and comprehensible graphical formats. The application is specifically being designed for analysts and investigative personnel. It is user-friendly and it does not require specialized or advanced computer skills to operate. During my tenure I was assigned following projects which successfully executed & completed by me:- i. "Technical Audit" project of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL). Have worked as a "Billing Expert" with the foreign consultant M/s France Telecom, Sofrecom. This project was contained nine different package, the technical audit of the "Billing System" was one of them. This audit was including but not limited to receivables, Telex, PDN, leased stream, Interconnect and Telephone Billing Systems of PTCL. ii. "Technical Audit" project of SHOA (Private) Limited, an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Pakistan. I have carried out a detailed audits of all the aspects of SHOA's activity including but not restricted to job assignments and responsibilities, performance monitoring and accountability processes, customer support procedures and adherence to these, adequacy or otherwise of present human and material resources, future requirements for both human and material resources, accounting and customer management procedures including the current billing package and shortcomings. iii. NAtional Database & Registration Authority (NADRA): Have worked for thirteen months on a project of NAtional Database & Registration Authority on behalf of IACGRP as a Country Manager Technical. This project was assigned to M/s Jaffer Brothers (Private) Limited by NADRA. My responsibilities were coordination with NADRA’s consultants (i.e NCR, Expert System, Fas Tech, MGK Consultant & Crestech), also to monitor, manage network of different sites (Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad) and ensure an uninterrupted operation. The network comprised more than 2600 workstations. My responsibilities were included for Data Entry operation of NDFs (National Data Forms) and Electoral Roll updating/printing activities.

Great Bear International Services (Pvt) Ltd – Diallog CDMA - (Jan 05 - Mar 06) General Manager – Information Technology I have worked with this company known as Diallog CDMA as well, they were awarded the Wireless Local Loop (WLL) license through an Auction by PTA, established to provide WLL services in Pakistan. Here my responsibilities were included but not limited to the following: • IT infrastructure designing, planning & deployment of hardware • Installation of OS & other associated software • LAN/WAN Networking • Oversee all of the IT personnel hiring, infrastructure, telecommunications and networks, call center support, and application development needs. Planned & launched Internet/Data Services during six months of operations including the Call Center & final selection and purchasing of the software and hardware. • Spearheaded transition to highly functional, streamlined and cost effective solutions that have dramatically improved efficiency, decreased expenses, and optimized data integrity and safety. • Established the strategic introduction of new technologies into the WLL operations at Diallog. • Helped Marketing on selecting the services for launch including the launch of EVDO data services.

Developed Billing Information System (BIS), it was unique in the Pakistan cellular industry with regionalization process and roamers call details, Real-time rating and discounting engine with tariff offer management (even most complex tariffs and special offers), Itemized billing and Corporate Bills printing etc ii. Developed Mediation Software: developed interface allowing retrieving data from Switches normalizing and preparing for customer billing. Following functionalities were implemented: • CDR collection from the switch. • CDR backup. • Converting CDR files into the format supported by the billing. • Placing CDR in a queue for automatic rating. • Event log. operation history and run- time error. iii. Management Information System (MIS): Credit Management TOS, POS & ROS actions. Producing Tax Certificate, iv. Activation & Deactivation of Numbers & VAS Interfaced with MIS with scheduled & real-time execution, Roll-back, log & audit. Auto SDM used to receive operation requests from the MIS, & converts them into commands. Commands were then sent to Resource Provisioning Systems (RPS). By the results of RPS response, Auto SDM posts the response code to the MIS. Following are the examples of requests processed by Auto SDM: Switch: requests to activate/disconnect a customer, impose/remove account suspension, change service set & retrieve account status. Voice mail system: request to add/remove a mailbox, change a mailbox language & impose/remove mailbox suspension.
