I worked for Stagecoach as a bus driver. My main duties were to make sure the vehicle I was using is road worthy and suitable for the public use during the day. I was also in charge of my own float and any money that I accured during a days shift
After being made redundent from Disking International I worked for the Bishops Table. My duties at the hotel was to take food orders and pass them to the chef. I also had to make sure that the restaurant was setup up and tidy for the next shift.
I worked for Disking International as a Retail Shop Manager. Mmy duties included running and maintaining the shop in Hindhead. Before becoming a Shop Manager I was involved in updating the company's eCommerce website with the latest product information and dealing with technical support call's over the telephone, email and occasionally I had to travel to the customer's houses and perform onsite support.
I worked for eWaves as a web designer but I was also involved in supporting their customer's networks and computer systems.
In July 2000 I moved to Scotland and worked for a company called Cardlink Holdings as the Systems Support Manager. Cardlink Holdings provided a mobile phone recharge system using EDC terminals. Thier customers were De La Rue Transaction Services in Edinburgh and Polcard in Warsaw. I developed a Business 2 Business Issue Managment System and Terminal tracking system in Visual Basic for them. My main function was to resolve any production problems and to manage the release of software updates for system problems or enhancements. The US Company, which owned Cardlink Holdings, ran into financial problems and they closed the Edinburgh office down
I worked at Introsur SL in Marbella designing web sites for their customers.
I was initially involved in the deployment of Electronic Data Capture Terminals and the training of merchant staff. There was also an element of problem solving. I later moved to an internal position where one of my responsibilities was the maintenance of the company's network. I was also involved in supporting the software (Exta-C) running on the EDC terminals
Chris’s career in the payment card industry dates back to the late 1980s with the sale of credit card manufacturing products. He was the first distributor of VeriFone terminals in South Africa in 1990. Together with Tony Moore, Chris established CSC in 1992 as a distributor of Dione terminals within the banking sector. Chris has been the Chairman of CSC since 1997. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and received his degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.
