These companies hire freelance workers to assist their production crew in the set up and production of live sporting event broadcasts. As a utility, I have helped run and pull cable, operated parabolic microphones, helped strike sets and cable runs, and loaded the truck. As a runner, I have assisted the Operations Director by getting supplies, assisting and escorting talent to and from venue locations, maintaining the production truck, helping with certain video shoots, helping with office duties, and loading and unloading the truck.

Technical Director

ROSCO Productions

ROSCO (Remote OSU Streaming Control Operation) is a mobile production unit used to produce live events. Currently ROSCO runs the jumbotron feed for Stillwater High School football, OSU wrestling and OSU women's basketball. As technical Director, I operate the master control board (the switcher) during these live productions. I also act as the business administrator creating calendars and spreadsheets of events, doing payroll and other administrative duties. While a part of the crew, I have also run camera (Sony Z1) and EVS (electronic video system) for these productions, as well as operated the jib arm and camera.

OSU Fire Service Training

I am the videographer and editor for Fire Service Training, Oklahoma's primary training agency. I am responsible for shooting and archiving video for many of the classes we offer around the state. I also shoot on-site training and some other events. After events, I create graphics and videos. I log, capture and edit videos primarily for our website and for disc distribution. I'm also responsible for creating and maintaing contacts and scheduling projects.

As a videographer, I was responsible for shooting all OSU home football games, as well as post game press conferences. Following the game, I produced highlight videos for the website, often on a tight deadline.

Broadcast Journalism & Sports Media

Oklahoma State University

Oklahoma State has a progressive Sports Media program. I was active in the School of Journalism and Broadcasting (now the School of Media and Strategic Communication) early on. I was not only exposed to lecture style learning, but also to all kinds of hands-on experience. From TV and radio studios to electronic news gathering and live event production, I've been able to gain vast and varied experience.
