I started off as a full-time administrative assistant to three insurance agents and received my license after taking the NC state exam in 2008.  After I received my license, I became a dedicated CSR to one agent and assisted her on reaching her goals.  I was also in charge of daily remittance for 4 offices.

I was in charge of vendor loss prevention, dealing with vendor organization, and in charge of vendor relations for the Avon Food Lion Grocery store.

  • accepted vendor by a electronic scanning system
  • concurred through visual counting manual orders
  • acting liaison between the vendors and Store/Assistant manager
  • managed 20+ vendors
  • used a store plan-o-gram to maximize stock and promote in store specials
  • most important aspect of position was to keep shrink down, acknowledging possible areas of shrink, and preventing shrink from occurring.
  • monitored inventory : ran weekly reports to monitor on hand stock vs. actual amount of product sold

I worked as a Store Manager for Nags Head Hammocks central location in Kill Devil Hills as well as a small , one person store located in Avon.  I learned from an experienced customer service manager how to provide outstanding  support to the most demanding client.  Before the store switched owners, I had the unique benefit of learning from the past owner on establishing customer connections through a genuine smile and  positive attitude.

Although I cannot program applications, I am adept in navigating the deep waters of the internet.  I enjoy finding new programs and applying them  efficiently to my daily activities. I realize that social networking is a must as well as internet marketing being a driving force in establishing new customer bases.
