Title I Facilitator/Graduation Coach

  • Direct Title I funding to services that support educational opportunities for students
  • Document services and monies spent with Title I funding
  • Implement and direct the first graduation coach program at Benson High School
  • Coordinate and host a quarterly breakfast for parents and senior students
  • Increased senior graduation rates by putting support systems in place to help struggling seniors

  • Report and submit written documentation of SAT meetings, interventions, and student progress
  • Review, update, and record all 504 documentation and provided all written accommodations to teachers, counselors, and administrators
  • Awarded grant to defer cost of homeroom program
  • Accepted the challenge to write a homeroom curriculum for all homeroom teachers for the entire school year

  • As a SAT Coordinator, I work directly with students, parents, counselors, administrators and community members in planning alternative instructional strategies and interventions in the regular classroom
  • Initiated and headed the Student Attendance Reward program, STAR, immediately raising student attendance 8 %.  A big part of my  job was tracking student attendance. The STAR Team met weekly with parents and students regarding poor, or irregular attendance.STAR was replaced in August of 2010 with Building Bright Futures attendance incentive program 
  • As a certified AVID Tutorial Coordinator, I was solely responsible for giving all of the new AVID tutors sixteen hours of training before they began in the AVID classroom
  • Coordinated and directed the Alumni Hall of Fame breakfast and dinner on behalf of the Benson High Alumni Inductees

Personal Statement

My extensive experience and graduate degrees in administration provide me with the vision and ability to be a strong educational leader. With a proven record in developing students for 21st Century skills and community involvement, I am prepared to facilitate school change and direct instructional strategies instrumental for student achievement.  My leadership skills allow me to articulate a vision to inspire, encourage and support teachers and staff to make a collective vision a reality. 

Interest

I enjoy traveling, reading, writing, gardening and updating my 1918 Arts and Crafts home.

Objective

Through commitment and passion, my leadership skills are best utilized in an administrative role supporting the district's goals in ensuring that all children will achieve at their highest potential and prepare them not only to be vital members of their community, but also thrive in the global market of the 21st Century.
