  • Supports the business with Employee & Industrial Relations (ER/ IR by having knowledge of legislative requirements , an understanding of impact on the organisation and develops a relationship with works council/ unions, government/regulatory bodies, community, etc)

Assistant Service Delivery Manager | SEAA, North Asia, Africa

 I was strategically partnering the Service Delivery Director for SEAA, North Asia & Africa, and the Service Delivery Managers in 14 Countries Service Delivery Projects across these clusters. In this role, I delivered the following:

  • Analyse monthly service data, tracking and chasing errors & trends to stakeholders and holding them accountable to action.
  • Delivery of Team engagement sessions and building capability for 140 people in 14 countries using agile technology.
  • Re-brand and re-built of the Global Enterprise Technology Support HR Services website, building in components to drive team engagement and communication between teams which sat globally.
  • Delivered on organisational effectiveness analysis, looking at trends, data from various stakeholders and sources and consolidated it into information which had regional and global impact.
  • Cost-analysis on Learning service line looking at ways to decrease costs and to improve rigor around demand planning and forecasting.
  • Filled Managerial roles in Marketing pro-actively with the use of LinkedIn. Sourced and delivered CV's for business on-shoring in Ethiopia.
  • Delivered "Hot-Spot" Analysis, which identified concerns and trends in the metric performance of the various clusters and service lines, which was then presented on Service Delivery Calls to bring rigor and accountability to these issues, which in turn allowed for action planning. This is now adopted as the way of working in Service Delivery.

I reported to the Service Delivery Manager in South Africa, delivering various projects spanning capability, continuous service improvements and simplification.

I delivered on the following Projects:

  • Improved the Sickness Injury Benefits Scheme which averted risk for the business and had a positive people impact.
  • Reviewed the HR Authorities Manual to increase Bias for Action and encourage single point of accountability, engaged with, and received sign-off from, the HR and Finance Leadership teams as well as the HR-VP.
  • Re-looked at the Manual Tax Directive Application process, improving Turnaround time from 5 days to 48 hours as well as making the process completely paperless and saving the business R5000 per annum.
  • Improved the Sales Employees medical process by engaging the 3rd party health provider, Occupational Health, ensuring that all sales employees will have their medicals completed before they enter into job, averting business risk.
  • Delivered the E-Payslip change management communication for the entire Unilever SA business.
  • Delivered the Survey Response rate project to increase survey responses for Service Delivered, which enables the team to come up and deliver Continuous Improvement ideas.

I am currently completing my thesis. Thesis Topic: An investigation into the levels of stress and emotional intelligence in post-graduate students at a tertiary academic institution in the Western-Cape.

I was a 3rd year tutor for full-time and part-time classes in 2012 as well as a member of the UWC Tennis Club. I was ranked the 3rd best player in the club as well as the administrator for the club.

I graduated top of my class in my Honours year as well as obtained the degree Cum Laude. I was a 3rd year academic tutor tutoring a full-time and part-time classes.

I completed my Bachelor in Commerce degree, double majoring in Industrial Psychology and Management Studies. I graduated 2nd in Class and was also awarded the 3rd Best 3rd Year Student in the entire Economic Management Studies faculty.

I was worked as an administrator from 2000-2010 at the UWC Squash Courts.

During my three years of study I played in the UWC Tennis Club and was Club Administrator, organizing league events for the club as well as recruiting new members. I obtained the No. 1 ranking at the club in 2008, I was ranked 2nd in 2009 and 3rd in 2010.
