Summary

Dr. Khoja; is a tenacious & gritty leader with a distinguished career, primarily, within the high technology sector with a broad spectrum of expertise in multitude of life sciences. He possess a very strong adaptive abilities in leading diverse regulatory program areas with a solid background combined with functional expertise in general business management both in science and policy domains. He is well-versed public speaker and sits on Scientific & Advisory boards for cutting-edge companies.

Currently, he is serving as a CSO for “Oceanix Biotechnology Corp”, where he is leading the scientific R&D projects of the company with focus on the research, development and commercialization of novel molecules and compounds from algae and other marine species for use in the commercial production of high value pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, minerals and food products.

In his recent past, he successfully led multi-disciplinary teams from (Professionals-Biologists, Engineers, Planners and Scientists). While working with a team of experts; he built a foundation of strong cross-functional skills including Research & Business development. His industrial experience spans from advising, innovating, operating and contributing in developing of research projects.

He received his Ph.D., with honor in "Molecular & Cellular" from a prestigious French institute INP-ENSAT and later earned his post-doctorate training from Michigan State University. He then served as a Research Faculty for Virginia-Tech, University of Wyoming & Texas-Tech University-Health Science Center; respectively where he demonstrated an “Out-of-Box” approach for R&D. In 2010, his algae research work was recognized by the US-DOE (Department of Energy) and published in UN-FAO (United Nation's Food & Agriculture Organization) magazine. His scientific work has been published in over 25 peer-reviewed journals. He also has command over 12 international languages.
