Entertain costumers down potentially hazardous areas while ensuring safety and respect for the river. As a raft guide, you are the preformer for a group of paying individuals, it is very important to match the personalities that are in your boat and facilitate a fun environment.

Running as many as three single-boat-trips a day and managing time with all customers

Leading four day long multi-day raft trips through a gorge with limited communication opportunities

Working to better business within a small community, selling trips via word of mouth

Learning rescue techniques at an international level and using some of those skills

Maintaining integrity of the company gear and performing all needed repairs

Navigating down grade III river with customers as young as six and grade IV as young as 12

Passing down rescue and safety knowledge to all new employees

Working long hours, everyday, doing the same thing and keeping newness to the experience

Leading up to eight boat trips in coordination with all other company trips on the water

Patching and doing other maintenance on rafts to keep a fleet of 35 going all season

Time management, and letting others know that you do not hurry up to wait, only to accomplish moreand finish as many tasks as possible in an already fast paced environment

Earned affordable living expenses while working as a Resident Advisor.Help provide safeguard for over 700 students in the residence halls.Provided positive influence by example while enforcing property regulations.Held programs to show students healthy lifestyle choices.Assisted with maintenance and medical emergencies in a calm and orderly fashion.Collaborated with staff promote and sell property to prospective tenants.

National Parks Coordinator

Community Action Volunteers in Education

Coordinate volunteer weekend trips to Golden Gate National Park. Responsible for three group leaders who take two trips, each with nine volunteers. On the trips we do trail restoration, invasive species removal, and habitat restoration.

As a council we right resolutions that the Associated Students and all of it's organizations recognized within that must follow. It is the duty of the external vice president to gather feedback, report the majorities ideas on subject and play as an ombudsman.

Leading a team of interns to promote the green efforts of the Sustainability Collaborative.Within the collaborative I preform PR tasks for groups that fall in the sustainability category. This includes updating web-based calendars, making posters and sending out press releases.
