I work with students who are English language learners by modifying or accommodating work so they are able to complete it.  This also includes going into the classroom to assist students.  I make frequent phone calls to family members and translating in conferences is common.  I also test students on their English language proficiency, as well as give other state required tests.

I created lesson plans, taught lesson plans, and worked with Mentor and other teachers collaboratively to create effective lessons for students.  Other job duties included going to meetings, and conferencing with students and parents.  I worked in this position two different times.  The first time was from 2/07-5/07.  The second time was from 2/11-3/11.

Perform job duties required of a teacher while a teacher was off work.  Travel to different schools and teach all levels and subjects K-12.  Common duties included reading over lesson plans, taking class attendance, teaching the lesson, and ensuring student safety while they were in my classroom. **I also did a long term substitute position at Jeffersonville High School teaching Spanish from 4/1/06-5/06.

I have a Master's in teaching Spanish from the University of Louisville. I have a Kentucky Teaching License. I previously taught Spanish at Jeffersonville High School from 2/2007-5/2007 and again from 2/2011-3/2011.  I am currently seeking employment as a Spanish or English as a Second Language teacher.  I have experience with English Language Learners, as well as diverse learners. 


I am interested in working with diverse learners.  I would be interested in working with the Spanish Club.  I would also be interested in working with the Swim Team sometime in the future.
