I provide writing and photography as needed for the newspaper. I primarily write feature articles on local events and people. Some of my work has made it to the front page. My photography varies from news stand alones to "Spotted" portraits. I use Photoshop to edit and crop pictures.
I worked on a project to create a source book of talking points for reoccurring pieces of legislation. I analyzed the legislation and policy studies for weaknesses. Legislation included E-Verify and the Women's Right to Know Act.
After completing a course in cybercrime, I was asked to join a project to profile potential cybercriminals using Palantir program. I created templates for data collection and made lists of social networking websites to collect data. I prepared and submitted regular program improvements to the professor.
My primary duty was to take the lead on a project to create the outline for the department's first volunteer policy manual. I also organized and presented a seminar for the staff on Bhutanese refugees including their culture, religion, social taboos, and diet to prepare staff for their needs. Additionally, I provided administrative support as needed.
I provided second level technical support for lower end business products. I logged calls into the database. Setup up returns for broken products. I mentored the next wave of new hires on where to find relevant support materials and product knowledge.
I generated leads for the sales team by cold calling businesses and asking if they were interested in APC products for any datacenter projects coming up. I brought in 3 million dollars worth of leads in one year that brought 1 million in actual sales. For this, I was promoted to trainer for new hires and lower performing representatives.
