  • Instructed more than 350 students on the decommissioned submarine Daniel Webster in basic nuclear electrical and engineering principles and theory with no failures, ensuring Navy fleet readiness.
  • Supervised a crew of 45 personnel in the performance of maintenance on damage control equipment, maintaining the boat safe from potential fires, steam and oil ruptures.

  • Instructed and managed the qualification  of 9 sailors in the calibration of more than 1,000 boat components en route to a Navy Achievement Medal of recognition.
  • Performed 7 deterrent patrols and 8 refit periods on the trident ballistic missile submarine, USS Maryland, with the highest integrity, earning 2 Good Conduct awards during the War on Terror.
  • Safely performed more than 5,000 hours of nuclear plant operations during steady state and casualty conditions, and more than 1,000 hours of electrical maintenance with 0 incident reports, helping the boat to a Battle ‘E’ award in 2009.
