Linda Keeter has more than 25 years of business background across a variety of industries, including trade association administration, veterinary medicine, aerospace, technology crops, records management, and manufacturing. She is a Communications major and a (SPHR) Senior Professional in Human Resources, certified through the HR Certification Institute, the educational arm of the Society of Human Resource Management. She was a founding member of a giant in the veterinary pharmaceuticals industry, where she managed a technical consulting group, providing medical product advice to vets and pet owners alike. There she managed all facets of client services operations and drove the staff expansion program for over a decade. As a trainer for new consultants, she wrote and delivered flea, toxicity and internal parasite workshops. Her experience around interviewing, hiring and retaining staff in a highly technical, ever-changing environment led her to a Human Resources focus. As the HR & Client Services Director for Pet Sitters International, Linda built and directed the HR function for the association's headquarters. She served as a member of the Executive Staff, participating in strategic planning and business development for the global pet care trade association. She led the development of the company's third-party background verification program and authored The Staff Expansion Guide, A Complete Guide for Pet Sitters and Other Small Business Owners to Hiring, Managing and Motivating Employees, published 2014.
