National Account Manager-Oregon

Intermedia had recently, in 1998-1999, acquired a number of smaller, domestic networks, cobbled together a nationwide footprint...and owned Digex, the leading web hosting company at the time. I came on board to build and grow the Oregon market, prior to MCIWorldcom's acquisition of Intermedia. On the day I went to work for MCIWorldcom myself, September 7, 2000, MCI announced it's acquisition of Intermedia.

National Account Manager-Oregon/Washington

SkyTel

Came on board with SkyTel just as they were launching the first two-way paging network, and experimenting with the first two-way devices. Almost exclusively Motorola territory at the time. Clamshell design, canned responses, but we all thought it was cool. Even in these early days of 1996-1997, customers were clammering for converged device capabilities, and we experimented with tethering cell phones to our laptops for connectivity. We managed the Microsoft, Weyerhauser, Willamette Industries, Nike and Consolidated Freightways accounts in Oregon/Washington. Probably one of the best sales teams I've ever worked with. SkyTel was acquired by MCIWorldcom in December 1999. Separate sales teams in Portland and Seattle.
