I am a senior executive with broad experience in business operations, strategic human resources, manufacturing, sales and marketing functions with an emphasis on meeting the unique demands of large private and family businesses. Beyond executive Human Resource leadership roles for diverse firms such as Mattamy Homes, Fidelity Investments, Palliser Furniture and Noma Industries, I have also led operating and marketing functions including fulfillment of a dual role at Mattamy as President of Commercial Centres with accountability for the development, construction, leasing and management of a portfolio of commercial and retail centers. Accredited and experienced in Human Resource leadership throughout North America and globally and a Certified Director through the Institute of Corporate Directors, I currently serve on the boards of West Park Healthcare Centre, The Salvation Army (Ontario) as well as having been an active Director or advisor for organizations such as the Halton Learning Foundation, Burlington Art Centre, Storytellers School of Toronto, the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, Special Olympics Manitoba and Boy & Girls Clubs of Ontario. Professionally, I am a former instructor on Strategic Human Resource Management at Ryerson University, a past Director of the Human Resource Professionals Association, a past member of the Special Experts Panel on Employee Relations for the U.S.-based Society of Human Resource Management, a chair & speaker at conferences and a commentator on Human Resources for CBC Radio.
